Baldness
Baldness in dissipating or loss of hair due to illness, functional disorder, or hereditary disposition; also known as alopecia. The male pattern baldness, a genetic trait, is the most common cause of baldness among white males. It is worn by females, but they are rarely capable as it develops under the influence of testosterone, a male sex hormone, women, however, may experience a general dilution of the hair. Alopecia begins at the forehead and crown and is slowly progressive.
The male pattern baldness may be cosmetically disguised by transplants hair follicle. Drug treatments with minoxidil (Rogaine) or finasteride (Propecia) have been used with limited effectiveness.
Diseases characterized by high fever (eg. The scarlet and typhoid fevers), malnutrition, chemotherapy, and glandular disorders can all cause balding. The treatment of disease or dysfunction usually stop hair loss and if the scalp and hair follicles are not severely harmed, hair regrandiront usually spontaneously.
Infection of the scalp being oily or sordidness scalp and hair and excessive teasing and lacquering makes hair are also contributing to baldness. Alopecia areata is a disease of unknown origin characterized by the bald parts nonenflammées in scalp hair and beard. Is periodic, but is usually of short duration.
